Batman Returns (1992)
Many consider The Nightmare Before Christmas to be "Tim Burton's Christmas Movie" but they tend to forget that Batman Returns was heavily infused with the Christmas Spirit.
Tim Burton's Batman will always be number 1 in my book. The style and tone of his movies are so perfectly balanced between comic spectacle and gothic darkness. To me, none of the other versions capture the feeling of reading a Batman comic better than this one. The universally beloved Batman the Animated Series owes everything to Burton and his vision of The Dark Knight.

Home Alone (1990)
John Hughes and Christmas go together like Michael Bay and the 4th of July.
People tend to remember the slapstick climax of Home Alone the same way they remember the vampire bloodbath in From Dusk till Dawn. As though that's what defined the movies. The fact is that the majority of both movies was made up with great characters, great performances and beautiful film-making.
